The Green Party of the United States yesterday nominated one of the most anti-semitic individuals ever to recently serve in the United States Congress for President. The time of death for the Green Party was just before 2:00 p.m. on July 12, 2008. I will show you through exhaustive sources and research the true nature of this individual who dooped the Greens!

* McKinney’s father Billy McKinney, an Atlanta state representative, when asked just days before the primary to explain why she ran, claimed the endorsement of former U.S. congressman and ambassador to the United Nations Andrew Young (who had endorsed her in earlier campaigns but declined to do so in 2002), and said in front of an Atlanta TV station camera: “That ain’t nothin’. Jews have bought everybody. Jews. J. E. W. S.”

McKinney has never publicly denounced her father or apologized for this comment. However, we saw the other day, Jesse Jackson, Jr. can speak out against his father and say he’s wrong and suffer no political backlash.

* The Council on American-Islamic Relations sent out an E-mail in 2002 asking people to “support Cynthia McKinney … Pro-Muslim candidate. Supporter of Palestinian State for over 7 years. Against Secret Evidence. Against Aid to Israel.” Some three-quarters of McKinney’s contributions came from people with Muslim or Arab names, most from outside Georgia. She received contributions from people under federal investigation for links to terrorists and from people who have voiced support for Hamas and other terrorist groups in the Middle East.

Cynthia McKinney never denounced this email or statement. In fact when asked to, McKinney flippantly said she would not “racially profile” her contributors.

Oh but lets use other sources. Those two notable events came from Michael Barone at the US News & World Report.

So what about a more progressive source, like Democracy Now!

* In October 2001, McKinney wrote to Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, thanking him for offering $10 million to New York after September 11th. City officials rejected the money because bin Talal used the occasion to say: “Our Palestinian brethren continue to be slaughtered at the hands of Israelis while the world turns the other cheek.”

* In April 2002, McKinney issued a statement pointing out that “President Bush’s father, through the Carlyle Group had—at the time of the attacks—joint business interests with the bin Laden construction company and many defense industry holdings, the stocks of which have soared since September 11.”

* In May 2002, McKinney was among only 21 House members who voted against a pro-Israel resolution that passed with 352 votes.

* In 2005, McKinney offered a bill (once she had won her seat back in Congress in 2004) that would in the words of the bill itself – “To provide for the expeditious disclosure of records relevant to the life and death of Tupac Amaru Shakur.”

Are you freaking kidding me Congresswoman?

This guy who helped spark the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry??

This guy who served 11 Months for Sexual Abuse??? (Rapper Faces Prison Term For Sex Abuse“, New York Times, B1 – February 8, 1995)

* McKinney is willing to throw her own staffers and supporters under the bus. She called her own Communications Director a fool on a live microphone.

* FINALLY, from Cynthia’s own mouth, she is trying to “retire her Congressional debt” from 2006. So is she using the Green Party race to fuel such an effort?

The answer is yes!

McKinney, who as recently as August 31, 2007 made an appearance at a Green Party event where money was raised to retire campaign debt from her failed re-election bid in 2006, said she wanted her name withdrawn from consideration in a letter delivered to the party Monday.

So the Green Party has nominated someone they bought and paid for essentially. Instead of choosing Jesse Johnson, Kat Swift, Kent Mesplay, Jared Ball, or Elaine Brown who have toiled and worked in the party….they bought and paid for their own nominee of color. I had growing respect for the Green Party but this shows that the corporate buyout mentality exists even in places that claim to be Camelot.

In the words of Paul Wellstone, I remain a Democrat from the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party!
